Career - My career spans over 34 years across corporate and business planning (6 years), financial services (11years) and counselling/coaching (17 years, the last 9 in private practice). Accreditation - I am the first Asian coach to be accredited at Master Practitioner level by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), which is EMCC’s highest level of individual accreditation. Training - I trained in coaching at Cambridge University and was awarded its full Certificate of Higher Education in Coaching. Qualifications - hold a MSc(Merit) in Medical & Health Sciences in Psychotherapy  Studies from Sheffield University. and a Certificate Management & Leadership from Chartered Management Institute of which I am a Fellow Member. Executive coaching, which is simply coaching for executives, is an effective approach to executive development. This has been a consistent finding in the last few years by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in UK, the world’s largest Chartered HR development professional body. It offers an opportunity for the executive to receive 1:1 attention and is a way for the company to make a personal commitment to the individual’s development.  It also cements the executive’s learning in their other training programmes e.g. leadership, emotional intelligence and conflict management.
How I coach With training and experience across the psychotherapy-coaching spectrum, I am adept at not only performance and developmental coaching but also able to coach in the psychological-philosophical domain to facilitate transformation at a deeper level. I am action and goal oriented and flexible and adaptable with my interventions, borrowing where appropriate from positive psychology, cognitive-behavioural, motivational interviewing, solution focus, narrative and existential approaches. To supplement my work, I use wherever appropriate assessment tools related to emotional intelligence and leadership.

Who I coach I coach first-senior level local and Asian expatriate executives based in Singapore across a wide range of issues.  My clients are both self and corporate sponsored.  The latter include executives from MNCs e.g. Oil Spill Response, International SOS and Kemin Industries.
